"Basebal has been berry berry good to me.."

Here it is the end of October and the boys of summer fade into the field of dreams. For many, they will replace the baseball games with basketball or football. Such is not the case for me. I will need to fill that gap. It is now a time of transition (again) for me. Been a lot of that going around this year...

Yesterday's Union Tribune had several articles on the fact that our Bruce Bochy has left the Padres to become the new manager for the San Franciso Giants. Whoda thunk? More changes this year. Certainly, I was disappointed, too (as are many Padres fans and players). Guess the powers that be felt that even though he had gotten the Pads to the Wetern Division play-offs two years in a row, Bruce wasn't enough. So they let me him talk to the Giants even though he had another year on his contract. Money and politics. It got me to thinking about my no longer being at Pacific CRS. And I know there are several people who have missed me being at Pacific Church. So, in many…

'Otay, Buckwheat...

That's pronounced OH TIE not OH TAY...oh, well....

As I mentioned, yesterday was the opening of the Otay Ranch Town Center. Not all of the stores were open but Apple did have it's grand opening--and yes, I was there. My friend, Zan and her friend, Todd were already there holding a place for me and we were about 11th and 12th in line.It was very exciting. Channel 8 local news was there to film the opening and many of us. Other people were at the opening of the shopping complex to get free make-up goodies from Macy's--we were there to support the opening of this new store as if it were the birth of a new child in our happy Apple family...and …

We're now in Scorpio..

Thanks for all the feedback and posts about the blog. From the people who have responded, it is quite favorable to keep it as is. A few folk, would be happy with a weekly newsletter as well. I shall continue to post responses and take this all under consideration as I am looking to expand the blog and my web domain presence.

I know I am a bit behind some current events but I need to make note of the fact that I am not amused that a bunch of astronomers have revoked Pluto from planetary existence just because it is smaller than the other planets. What kind of bias is that? It's already a part of our language, a beloved Disney character, part of our horoscopes Harumph!

Perhaps those astronomers could be the first people to take the new drug that combats stupidity. This new drug was invented by the scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics.Or the people at AOL last summer, who made public the history of cyber searches that their members visited. Of course, I ima…
